Privacy Policy

tl;dr — We do not do any sketchy stuff with your data. Pill Cat is built privacy-first: your medication names, schedules, inventory, and health logs are stored securely on your local device. We do not sell or monetize your personal health data.

Now, here’s the complete version:

This Service is provided by the Pill Cat team and is intended for use as is. This page informs users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when using the Pill Cat mobile application and website.

1. Information Collection & On-Device Storage

We believe your personal medical information belongs solely to you. All sensitive information entered into Pill Cat — including your medications, dosages, frequencies, reminders, inventory counts, and daily compliance records — is saved locally on your device’s internal sandbox storage (and synchronized to your personal iCloud account if you enable Apple iCloud backup).

We do not operate backend servers that store or read your personal medication history, medical conditions, or health entries.

2. Notifications & System Permissions

To provide timely reminders to take your medications, Pill Cat utilizes iOS / Android local notification systems. All scheduled reminders are triggered directly by your operating system locally without transmitting your schedule to external servers.

3. Log Data and Anonymous Analytics

To help us identify crashes, improve application stability, and understand general feature adoption, Pill Cat may collect anonymous diagnostic and error reports (such as device model, OS version, app configuration at the moment of an error, and crash stack traces). This technical data does not contain identifiable patient health information and is only used to keep the app reliable and bug-free.

4. Service Providers

We may employ third-party service providers (such as Apple App Store Services and crash reporting platforms) to facilitate our service, perform error tracking, or assist in analyzing technical performance. These services are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.

5. Security

We value your trust in using Pill Cat. By keeping your data local to your device and leveraging native mobile security features (including hardware encryption and optional biometric app locking), we strive to ensure maximum privacy. However, please remember that no device or method of electronic storage is 100% immune from security vulnerabilities.

6. Children’s Privacy

Pill Cat does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time as new features are added. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Effective Date: September 15, 2026
